It had been....a week or more? Scarlett hadn't really been keeping track. All she knew was that it had been awhile since she had arrived in Whispering Woods, Maine with Noah and boy was she the least bit thrilled about this small town. How could an amazing guy like Noah be from such a boring ass town in the middle of nowhere? It just didn't seem logical. Sure, she was glad to be here because it beat being in New York all by herself. Noah and his mother had been so welcoming and very generous to her that she couldn't help but feel like she found a new family. Despite their dysfunction, they were a hell of a lot better than her own family. No one knew about Scarlett's name and life change nor did she want them to. The whole point--besides getting away from her family--was to start a new life. Fresh and clean. The only thing she'd kept from her old life was her hometown of Memphis. That was one thing she could never give up. Tennessee had been her home for 18 years.
It was early evening and Hanna had prepared dinner for them earlier than normal. She had spent the entire day with Noah, wondering when she was going to meet this Ava girl he was so fond of. Something was going on there, she could tell. Flashing back to their freshman year at NYU, Scarlett remembered hearing a lot about her. The name "Ava" was literally every other word out of Noah's mouth that year. Even when they'd tried dating, she still never heard the end of it. Still, she loved spending time with Noah even to this day. But unfortunately there was only so much she could take of him so she decided to go out and explore since she hadn't done that really. As long as she'd been here, she spent most of her time at the house. So she'd gone out to the Memorial Park to walk around and get some fresh air that wasn't smoke filled. Noah's smoking was one thing Scarlett couldn't stand. His mother smoked too which didn't help. The air was fresh and clean out here and she loved the smell. As she walked around she put her hands in her back pockets just enjoying the evening.

After her last class had gotten out she picked up her things and went to her locker where she opened it and then closed it again placing her last books in there. Placing her brown bag over her shoulder she tied her sweatshirt around her waist and headed out of the school to the school grounds and then she started to go home from school. Knowing she would have some homework to do.
Dressed in her casuel green and white shirt and her jeans, Louise held her brown bag over her shoulder and left her home and wondered towards the memorial park. Having not been there in a while she thought, after all since it was a nice day in Maine, why not take a stroll? Perhaps even meet a friend. Louise looked around her surroundings and felt the cool breeze. It was nice out and she wanted to be outside in the fresh air. Walking along the side walk she continued to pull out her iPod and listen to some music. Pulling out her headphones as she reached the park she looked around her surroundings. Just then, Louise had found someone wondering around alone at the park. Walking up to them she gave a small smile and said "Hello" softly hoping not to scare them. The girl seemed new and lost but she wanted to get to know her better. "How are you? Are you new here to Maine?" she asked curiously. Louise smiled softly at the girl and studied her carefully.

While she walked, Scarlett started mentally humming to herself. She had been in the church choir growing up and school's choirs but she never really stood out for singing. Not like she wanted to. Scarlett was perfectly fine with hanging back in the shadows with people like Noah. She needed to keep a low profile anyways. It was best for her and gave her a better chance of not being found by her family. Noah and Hanna were her new family. Even though they hadn't actually offered to be and she wasn't going to acknowledge that, Scarlett still considered Hanna to be her new mother and Noah to be her brother (since she'd had a sister back in Memphis.). There was a lot Scarlett wanted to accomplish in her life. And the last 23 years had been a big obstacle course. Now it was time to get out of there and run a straight line.
Eventually, a young girl approached her. Kindly, Scarlett smiled. She never would have been one to approach someone. "Hello," she said, letting her southern accent stick out like a sore thumb. "Am I that transparent?" she replied a little bashfully when the girl asked if she was new to Maine. "If my accent doesn't give it away I don't know what will.". She laughed a little. This girl seemed nice enough to make conversation with but if it started to get weird Scarlett was heading back to the Scott's.

It was just a lovely day to go back home. Why not take a stroll around Memorial Park. Coming upon an interesting yet pretty girl Louise smiled upon her. She stood there beside her for a moment and listened to what she was speaking. Studying the girl it looked like she came from a different part. Louise smiled softly at the girl as she talked her.
"Just a little" she said softly giving her a friendly smile. "Everyone's new here. So don't worry about me. Except me, I live here" she said giggling a moment latter. Louise looked at her and and said "What is your name? Im Louise Knight" she said sticking her hand out for her to shake. "Who might you be?" she asked a moment later.
Placing her iPod in her bag again she gently brushed back a string of long hair out of her eyes. Louise studied her for a moment more. Remaining silent she looked around her surroundings as she waited hear what her name was. Once she came back to reality she looked at her eyes.
